CHAPTER 7 OF 9

07 / Make it your own

Same easy setup. Your kind of crowd.

You do not need to accept a one-size-fits-all trivia night. These small choices help you set the mood.

  1. Choose the topic your people love.

Create a library around a show, band, film, or broader topic. Describe any season or spoiler limits in the topic itself. Leave the theme blank only if your package includes mixed-generation credits; otherwise use an included mixed pack. A theme applies to its normal questions, bonuses, and tiebreaks.

  2. Choose the question mix.

Under Fine-tune game night, pick The balanced mix, More accessible, or Bring your big brain. You can exclude unwanted categories. Exclusions filter the available pool, so a small library or too many exclusions can leave too few questions.

  3. Choose how spicy the commentary gets.

Friendly keeps things gentle. Sassy adds more bite. Savage-ish turns up the theatrical roasting. The jokes are about the answers, not personal traits. Pick the level that fits your group.

  4. Choose the bonus and joining rules.

Set a point cap for each bonus. You can allow an all-in wager on the final bonus or allow teams to join after the start. Explain those choices before playing. Standard answer timers are 30 seconds for normal questions and 60 for bonuses.

  5. Set the sound and keep control.

Preview five music styles on the host dashboard and save a default for new games. In the control room, change the current soundtrack, game music, effects, AI announcer and volume. Enable sounds separately on the shared screen and team phones; phones only play short alerts, their own roast sting and the winning team’s celebration. For online play, share the screen tab’s audio too. Pause game gives everyone a breather; Resume the show continues.

You choose the vibe. The app handles the routine.

A laid-back party and a competitive bar night can use the same simple flow with different topics, difficulty mixes, commentary, and bonus limits.
